Legal

Four years ago, when I was in eighth grade, I found Florida's Dual Enrollment FAQ which said I was legally eligible.   I wanted to study emerging science that only UCF has the programs to research and the Dual Enrollment program was the perfect blend of education and accelleration that would allow for that.   But UCF's Board of Trustees, through their attorney Youndy Cook, lied to me directly about my eligibility.   At the time UCF did not accept applications for the program from Home Education students or from students in grades 6-10, even though the law said that I was in fact legally eligible.

At the end of that meeting with Counselor Cook in 2016 I received my eighth grade civics assignment of figuring out my legal rights and how to assert them.   This began a four year odyssey (emphasis on "odd") of having to learn constitutional law instead of science.   During that ever-shifting string of challenges, my new professors (UCF's upper-echelon internal and hired-gun lawyers) directed my independent study schooling to first learning how to prove UCF was breaking state law.   Then they directed me to learn this actually also constituted fraud.   Next, they taught me to successfully defend myself and my family in court against frivolous and vexatious lawsuits by countersuing us.   Twice.   Last they taught me to assert how this fraud is most egregoinsly "unconstitutional".

During the four year legal fight UCF's Board and lawyers have abused the legal process itself in the service of perpetuating this fraud, praying to keep it from it's rightful place in the Florida Sunshine.   But at the end of the day they are doing what the law says they may not do, they are breaking the law.   UCF's Board, hiding behind their lawyers; have been allowed to operate illegally, with impunity, and in in the dark for far too long.

Which brings us to the most important part in this story, the day that many voices join in calling for UCF to quit abusing the legal process and finally answer these charges.   Today.   Voices joining together demanding democracy in the face of tyranny.
