Arbitrary Discretion

UCF's Dual Enrollment web page says that "satisfaction of minimum requirements does not guarantee admission".    But Florida Statute 1007.271(13)(b) mandates that UCF "must" grant the program to "each" legally eligible student, and F.S. 1007.271 contains the same provisions and guarantees for public and private students as well.

The law says that UCF "must enter into a home education articulation agreement with each home education student seeking enrollment in a dual enrollment course" who is legally eligible.   UCF proudly asserts that because they are a university, they don't have to follow the law, and if they should arbitrarily deny your right to participate that was granted by FS 10072.17 that there shall be no explanation or due process in such a case.

So, join what UCF's Board has mockingly called a "quest for justice".
